D&AD Design Awards

​The D&AD awards evening was held at Olympia Exhibition Hall, London.

Kevin Bankhead was responsible for the detail design & project management of the bespoke bar installation and overseeing the specialist lighting. The brief was that the central long bar be internally illuminated and have the appearance that it was floating. This was achieved by creating a fixed base which was painted out black and the long bar was formed in opaque acrylic with fluorescent tube lights inside. Full height fabric drapes were installed at equal intervals throughout the seated areas and mood changing lighting & graphics were  projected onto them using specialist lighting.
